Pro Se Legal Support Services

We believe that most people, with assistance, can competently handle their own legal affairs "pro se". Our mission is to provide information tools and support for you to do this. We don't "represent" our clients, we guide and coach you. You act and speak for yourself.

The term "pro se" is a Latin phrase which is used by the courts to designate you if you choose to represent yourself. Literally translated it means "for yourself".

We live in a legal system that becomes more and more complex everyday, and yet, we are expected to know the law and obey it. You should know how to represent yourself, even if you already have counsel. Our legal system empowers us with many rights and privileges.  These rights and privileges are meaningless, however, if we don't know how to enforce them. Knowledge is power. When we rely exclusively on lawyers to protect our interests we abandon our own power.Have you ever had a legal problem that is too big to ignore, but not big enough to justify the cost of hiring a lawyer? We offer an alternative to the conventional arrangement between clients and their attorneys.

Pro Se Legal Services provides legal support for people and businesses who want to represent themselves. We are your guides in the world of law.  Our objective is to help you find solutions without incurring legal bills that are disproportionate to the problem.  We advise you on what needs to be done, and you decide whether you want to pay to have the work done, or do it yourself.  If you decide to do it yourself, we can guide you through the process.

Stand up for yourself.  Save money on legal fees and stay in control of your legal affairs.  Call William Marshall to find out more or to employ his legal support services for the pro se litigant.

Next Friend Petitions Another alternative for seeking judicial review for and on behalf of a friend or relative incarcerated, by a third party known as 'next friend' to apply for a writ of habeas corpus on behalf of the incarcerated individual who pursuant to Whitmore v. Arkansas, 495 U. S. 149 has standing to litigate on behalf of a prisoner who for various reasons cannot apply for such themselves. Such standing can be a close friend or relative or by one who has been provided a Limited Power of Attorney granted to the 'next friend' as authorization to so serve. William Marshall can assist the 'next friend' in the preparation of a 'next friend' petition pursuant to Article III of the U. S. Constitution and as like authorized pursuant to 28 U. S. C. 2242. Fees for such service is similar to that which applies to providing legal support services to pro se litigants.
